Woke up stupidly early to go on a college trip to a power station
Got to college really early so went to the shop to buy sweets
Waited for the coach
A boy tells us all the power station is on fire
Nobody believes him
At 8.15 when everyone was about to get on the coach a teacher comes running down the hill to tell us the power station really is on fire

here's a story about the gullible local...
One day I was bored in class so I said to Becci “I think we should start a rumour” so that night we came home and made one up about the local “beast” and posted our fake sighting on a chat room:
the next day a man from the local paper messaged us but we didn’t reply:
but to our dismay here it was in the local paper that week:
